What should I do after choosing a wedding ceremony venue?

UKBRIDE and websites like this have a great forum of information that can help with planning. Here is one to do with “what to do next”.

  • Check legal requirements regarding marriage certificates and other requirements such as Banns/Notice
  • Set a realistic budget, and decide between yourselves and parents who will pay for what
  • Choose your Maid/Matron of Honour, Best Man and other attendants (make sure they’re available and willing)
  • Compile a provisional guest list to get a rough idea of numbers
  • Discuss ceremony and reception venue options and arrange to view them

This should be a good start!

Revitalized Elegance: The Assembly Rooms’ Fresh Refurbishment Unveiled

In late Autumn, 2023, the team created a wonderful transformation of the Assembly Rooms into a sophisticated wedding venue. The collaboration with two generous wedding suppliers, Georgia at Little Events and Jane at Forge Flowers, played a crucial role in achieving the elegant ambiance.

Using the finest linens and opting for a simple green and white colour palette to suggest a classic and timeless aesthetic. Such choices often contribute to a sense of luxury and refinement. The attention to detail in dressing the room reflects a commitment to creating a memorable experience for the wedding couple and their guests.

The Assembly Rooms

The history of the building alone adds a regal touch, emphasizing the grandeur and splendor of the setting.

Beautifully lit alcoves in history wedding venue in Chichester

There are four alcoves around the Assembly Rooms which can be decorated with anything from trees, to lights, or Christmas Trees, adding to the elegance of the rooms.

In the elegant embrace of The Assembly Rooms, we crafted an ambiance of understated elegance and gentle charm. Employing simple candelabras as our primary adornment, we intertwined them with the delicate whispers of baby’s breath, creating a tableau that spoke of softness and serenity. The flicker of candlelight, dancing along the tables, interlaced with graceful strands of ivy, conjured an atmosphere of intimate warmth. This harmonious setting was further enhanced by the sophisticated lighting board unique to The Assembly Rooms. With a mere flick of a switch, what was once a bright and airy space during the day transformed seamlessly into an enclave of soft, romantic illumination by evening. This subtle metamorphosis not only complemented our decor but also enveloped the entire room in an enchanting, dream-like quality, perfect for creating unforgettable moments.
