With its rich history echoing through every inch of its wood-panelled walls and original features, this room embodies a unique blend of historical significance and timeless charm. The Assembly Rooms – Wedding Reception Room

The Assembly Room, steeped in historical charm, boasts a beautifully maintained wooden floor, complemented by four ornate fireplaces. While these fireplaces are no longer in use, they add to the room’s character, with niches above the mantels that are individually lit, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. This room is a rare gem, standing as one of the few eighteenth-century assembly rooms in the country that still serves its original purpose for meetings and concerts. Versatile in nature, it is an ideal setting for various events such as wedding receptions, concerts, conferences, fairs, and exhibitions.

Spanning 18 meters by 8.5 meters, the room can comfortably accommodate up to 120 persons seated with tables, making it perfect for events like wedding receptions. Access to the room is seamless, facilitated by the main staircase and an available lift, ensuring convenience for all guests. Additionally, hirers of the Assembly Room gain access to the Crush Bar seating area, which includes a serving hatch and a kitchen, offering a complete package for hosting a successful and memorable event. With its blend of historical elegance and modern amenities, the Assembly Room stands out as a distinguished venue for a wide array of gatherings.
